Project Background
A rural, under-resourced community serving a population of 330 people has a centralized wastewater treatment plant that was built in 1992 and has been issued an order of non-compliance from the MO Department of Natural Resources for exceeding the E.coli MCL.
The community is seeking to understand what E.coli treatment alternatives are viable and can be added to their existing wastewater treatment facility to bring the system into compliance with MO DNR.

Description of the Community:
The affected community is small and low income, with 330 residents. A major focus of this project will be getting a cost estimate that can be used in funding applications with the goal of obtaining a large percentage of grant funding in order to achieve affordable rates in the community.
Project Scope of Work:
The community needs a Preliminary Engineering Report that identifies treatment alternatives that can be added to their system to achieve compliance with E.coli MCL's in their permit issued by MO Department of Natural Resources.
